B. F. Sisk Courthouse Renovation
Contract Amount: $9,635,000
Completion Date: August, 2010

Lyles Mechanical Co. (LMC) was one of several major subcontractors on this project. LMC scope included installation of the Plumbing, HVAC and Hydronic piping in an existing five story courthouse including a basement. The basement and lower four floors were completely gutted and constructed as new construction while accommodating the existing structural elements. The fifth floor entailed modification of various systems. Existing chillers, chilled water pumps and some existing pipe remained and were incorporated by LMC into the new systems. Seven new air handlers were furnished and installed by LMC along with all new sheet metal duct. Three new boilers and two new heating water pumps were installed with all new hydronic piping for each floor from the basement through the fourth floor. New plumbing piping and fixtures were installed throughout the project. Extensive Building Information Modeling (BIM) was used by all trades to insure efficient installation and was proven to save time and money.
