Medical Center Cooling Tower Replacement

Lyles Mechanical Co.
Visalia, California

Compressed Natural Gas Fueling System

Contract Amount: $338,000
Completion Date: June, 2010

On this design-build (d-b) project, Lyles Mechanical Co. (LMC) replaced the roof top cooling towers for the hospital central plant that provides 900 tons of cooling capacity for the hospital. The project required modifications to various piping systems as well as close coordination with the plant personnel to accommodate shutdown of the system. Working closely with the owner, implementing the design-build project delivery method allowed for over the counter approval from the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) in the field, which avoided the typical lengthy review process in Sacramento.
