Northwest Bakersfield Water Treatment Plant

This 8 MGD water treatment plant was a “fast-track” project and W. M. Lyles Co. was chosen by the Owner at the 70% design level. Through active participation with the Engineer during the completion of the design, significant value engineering opportunities and savings were realized. Water supply features included a canal inlet structure with traveling water screen, metering structure, pretreatment chemical feed system and a 30” conveyance pipeline. The treatment plant consisted of a Pall membrane microfiltration system, chemical storage and feed system, distribution pump station and pipelines, electrical and instrumentation, site utilities, landscaping, and surfacing.
