Southeast Surface Water Treatment Facility – City of Fresno

The SESWTF is designed to treat 80 MGD of surface (river) water from the Kings River to provide potable water to City residents. This project is the centerpiece of the City’s ‘Recharge Fresno’ program which will improve the water system and reduce dependence on groundwater. The treatment process includes pre-treatment basins (flocculation/sedimentation with plate settlers), ozone disinfection structure, and filters (GAC gravity filter). The facility also includes an 8MG treated water reservoir, chemical building, treated water and backwash pump station (including five 700HP and two 400HP pumps), washwater recovery , solids lagoons and pump station, electrical substation, operations building and a maintenance building. We also provide a perimeter block wall, offsite road reconstruction and improvements, offsite pipelines, landscaping and paving throughout the site.
